Visabeira – Sociedade Técnica de Obras e Projetos is working on the remodelling of the High Voltage Line between Santa Maria da Feira and Lavos, in the municipality of Figueira da Foz. In less than one month, the company assembled and installed the 18 prismatic modules (6-meter structures placed in the middle of pylons to increase their height) foreseen in the contract awarded by REN. The works carried out refer to an intervention in the so-called section 2 of this power line, between pylons 65 and 129. Fourteen of these utility pylons were built from scratch by Visabeira’s team of 30 technicians working on the project. The installation of the new large-scale metal structures will be followed by the reinforcement of existing poles and the replacement of conductive cables and ground wire conductors in some parts of this 25-kilometer section. The works will take place until the end of 2016, involving several Visabeira’s specialized teams and an array of technical equipment.
