Edivisa finished the construction of a gabion wall meant to stabilize the slopes at the EDP Distribuição electrical substation in Mogueiras, in the municipality of Arcos de Valdevez. The timely conclusion of works allows EDP to proceed with the construction of its substation within the established timeframe. This new substation is intended to supply electric power to the area’s industrial zone expansion works. Despite the technical difficulties associated with this type of work, the adverse weather conditions and the obstacles posed by the terrain itself, with water springs and fractures in the slope, Edivisa’s solutions and equipment brought the work to a good ending. All safety and protection conditions were strictly met during the construction of the wall several levels, where cage mesh was used to prevent collapsing and sliding. At the end of the works, Edivisa and the client (EDP Distribuição) make a positive appraisal of the results.
