Constructel Denmark, a Visabeira Group company that has affirmed itself with the construction of many projects for Huawei, installed mobile communications in the Faroe Islands national stadium, “Torsvøllur”. It was in this sports venue that the Portuguese football squad defeated their local opponents in October, with a 0-6 score in a qualifying match for the 2018 Fifa World Cup, in Russia. The project developed by Constructel Denmark for Faroe Telecom has provided the stadium for the first time with mobile communications, based on the so-called “LampSite” technology, used by Huawei for this type of mobile infrastructures. Constructel experts created several technical rooms, located on the stadium’s different grandstands, for the installation of active equipments, integrated thanks to a fibre-optic ring. Antennas were also installed in the various grandstands and interior buildings, gyms, changing rooms, press room and in the venue’s offices.
